I just wanted to say that this class has been the most comprehensive and informative music business class I've ever experienced. Everything was extremely well thought out and unlike most classes this one focuses on several ways to make money in this business instead of just one. This has really helped me see the big picture of the business from a perspective where I feel like I have control over what I can do with my future. So many music business classes and books tend to try to scare you out of the business without offering a viable way to overcome the challenges this industry creates. I have invested thousands of dollars on equipment, computers and software this year and this class has probably been the single most valuable thing I have purchased for my business.
Thanks Again

Its always when you think you know everything about something there is ALWAYS something else to learn. Peters course at times may seem obvious at first but by illuminating the obvious and integrating newer concepts into it the course takes on a unique approach. It does not just present challenges it also helps move you into the direction of SOLVING those challenges and facing the problems and hitting them head on.

You will want to revisit the course and review it again and again until it all sinks in. It WILL take work and initiative on your part but then everything worthwhile does. And consider your guide, Peter Alexander. He shares his knowledge and experience and guides you on your way to bettering yourself in your business. Your guide is someone whose a success in what he does. How better to learn then from someone else in the industry whose made HIS business a success. Peter learned from his business model and by studying others who were successful.

You can too.

I had a long and successful career, as a professional composer, before "taking a break" to become an attorney. After practicing law for several years, the old maxim to "be true to yourself" hit home, and I returned to music. Prior to becoming an attorney, I taught a music business course, at the college level. As an attorney, I occasionally served as a guest lecturer, on the music business, at an arts based university. But, during the time that I was away from the business, things changed dramatically and I needed to get up to speed. I don't have the time to sit in classroom. So, I looked for a resource that would pull together information on many different subjects, like e-commerce, and technology, in a flexible, thorough, yet concise manner. Marketing Your Music is that resource. Peter Alexander has gathered a vast amount of information that is vital to anyone trying to make music, and survive in this industry. This is not just another course on how to get the "gig." It is a practical guide on taking your career seriously, and treating it as a business. If I were teaching today, I would use these materials as the basis for my class. This is GPS for your career.

The course, Marketing Your Music & You, explores the true reality of music. I have only studied the first lesson and I´m surprised and should I say shocked by it. This "telling it like it is" music course can only benefit the student´s career and give them practical tools for the future and help them avoid common mistakes in the music business"
